Baptism symbolises a change. Our sins are completely forgiven because of Jesus, and we are no longer slaves of sin. Rather, by the Holy Spirit, we are empowered disciples of Christ.
Not only that, through our faith, we have become part of a new family—the church. Baptism is our initiation into this. It’s really an acknowledgement of all these things before our new spiritual family in Christ.
