Four Keys

As with all healthy relationships, or anything worth investing ourselves in, intentionality is vital. These four keys in this picture help us grow our relationship with Jesus. They are four essential practices that God calls us to engage in regularly for our growth, his glory, and the good of those around us.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

“I remember initially being both uninterested in engaging with the Bible and overwhelmed with how to even do it. But thankfully God changed that by blowing me away with himself and how through the scriptures we actually get to see him and grow closer to him—the real, loving, faithful God! How amazing is that!”

“Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

“When I pray, I try to think further than 'do something God'. It helps me to be open to different ways God can respond, like directing me to do or say something. For example, when I went on [a mission trip], I remember finding ways to explain the gospel to people that I’d never thought of before.”
Michael

“Let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day [of Jesus' return] approaching.”

“For me, becoming part of [a local Christian] community has been amazing. The people I’ve met are forever wanting to grow. I really see God’s love through everyone around me.”
Hannah

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. God has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

“If it weren’t for someone taking the initiative to share about Jesus with me in my first year at uni, I wouldn’t have the relationship I do with Christ today. Now I want to give others that same opportunity I had to begin a relationship with God.”
