Jesus’ Divinity

While Jesus was fully human, he also was fully God.

Read Mark 4:35-41.

• Have you ever experienced a life-threatening situation (or know someone who has)? If so, what happened and how did it impact you?

• Imagine being in the boat that day. What would be your impressions of Jesus after watching him do this?

Now read Mark 5:25-43.

• What do you find strange or moving about Jesus’ encounters with the bleeding woman and Jairus’ daughter?

• What do these events reveal about Jesus’ character and abilities?

 

In all these instances, we see that Jesus wants people to respond to his words and actions with faith (i.e. trust).

• Based on what you’ve read of Jesus, how inclined are you to trust him?
