A Broken Relationship

Let’s read Romans 6:12-14 to get us thinking about sin.

• Sin is described here as a master. Have you ever felt mastered by sinful tendencies? 

• This passage implies Christians can struggle with sin. Are you surprised to hear that?

• Now that we are Christians, how does this passage urge us to live in light of our sin?

 

Choosing to present ourselves to God through how we live instead of continuing to be a slave to our sinful nature is what the Bible calls repentance. It’s turning away from our sin with the desire to please God instead. We’ll be thinking about what this looks like in our lives as we consider how to deal with our sin.
