The Holy Spirit is the presence of God in a Christian. He plays a vital role in how we live. Just as we need oxygen to live, if we trust in Christ, we are “born again” in a spiritual sense and the Holy Spirit becomes the source of new life that God places within us. God is no longer a higher power outside ourselves. He transforms us from within so that we become more like Jesus in all areas of our lives.
This week, why not try asking each day for the Holy Spirit to help you with what’s going on in your life? Remember, he’s the Helper and he’s with you.
When we are struggling to follow God’s commands, the answer is not to try harder! Rather, we need to rely on the Holy Spirit. Next time we’ll look at what this looks like as we continue our journey of learning about the Holy Spirit.
