Context of Luke

We’re going to look at a passage from the book of Luke. Luke was a doctor (Colossians 4:14) who carefully investigated eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection (Luke 1:1-4). Luke writes to a Christian named Theophilus to reassure him that what he’s been taught about Jesus is backed by solid evidence. At the end of Luke’s book, he writes this:

“Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.”
